Assassin’s Creed Origins is a very slow grind

Assassin's Creed Origins

I knew before I started working on Assassin’s Creed Origins that the grind would be slow on this one but it is dredding slow.

OK, hear me out, I have nearly 30 hours clocked in. Over the weekend I played quite a bit and got to the point where I am nearly done with the story. The thing is – I am actually completing all of the locations as I play. I have left Giza for the last due to needing all 12 circles done and 50 silicas required. Other than that – I have done around 80% of locations.

I am certain that by Tuesday, I shall have all locations done along with the story. Then I can focus on playing DLCs while still earning some other achievements as I go along. Achievement hunters are lucky that Assassin’s Creed Origins DLCs don’t require fully completing locations unlike Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. I can’t wait to have that 100% ribbon on Valhalla on my Steam profile. Though it will probably take around 200 hours.

Assassin’s Creed Origins achievements earned

So the other 3 achievements that I earned:

  • Wake Up!Complete Main Quest Dream sequence
  • The LizardComplete Main Quest “The Lizard’s Face”
  • The CrocodileComplete Main Quest “The Crocodile’s Jaws”

Despite having only 13/67 achievements, I know I am nearly end of the story as only 2 more targets left to assassinate – Septimus and then the main guy. I will probably finish the story today and start grinding the remaining locations. So hopefully I can finish Assassin’s Creed Origins by Thursday or something.
